Visit to Elm Park Library

Today we visited the library and had a great time finding out about how to become a member.

We found out that you can join the library at any age, you can borrow up to 20 books and keep them for 3 weeks.

To join the library you just need to take a letter with your grown ups address on, then you can go to any library in Havering (there are 10).

The librarian read us some stories and said we could have a look at all of the children’s books.

We are eager to take our parents during the February Half Term, so we can choose some books to take home.

BOG BABY HUNT

Last week the children in reception read the story “Bog Baby”.

It’s a great story to help children understand how to care for the animals in their environment.  Please share it at home too:

We had a wonderful time making and writing about Bog Babies and then we went on a Bog Baby Hunt around the school.

We asked the teachers in Year 2 and 4 if they had seen a blue flying creature anywhere and we followed the clues across the school field to the pond.

There we found some blue footprints, glitter trail and some feathers, until finally we spotted Bog Baby.
