A chit chat with Mrs. Warnes

OnĀ  Monday afternoon, the children had a little chit chat with Mrs.Warnes who told us abut all the toys she used to play with when she was younger. We spoke about how our toys are now made out of plastic but her toys were usually made with wood and the fact that she didn’t have a doll to play with. Mrs Warnes. also said her favourite toy was the skipping rope and in-fact her grandaughter has been given the skipping rope she use to play with.

Thank you for coming in Mrs.Warnes we learnt a lot from you!

A special visitor in Year 1

As part of a treat for Children in Need, Year 1 had a very special visitor on Friday. Miss Morris’ dog Bella came to school and spent some time in Year 1. The children took it in turns to throw the ball for Bella who was very happy to bring it straight back for the next child. Everyone who wanted to, got to stroke Bella too.

We are not sure who enjoyed it more, Bella or the children.

Mystery on a Monday morning!

On Monday morning, Year 1 were surprised to see toys where they shouldn’t be! We had to go and investigate! We saw animals reading books, a teddy bear making a list for a part, a power ranger playing the xylophone, another teddy baking a cake and much much more! Year 1 have then been busy writing a story about what the toys have been up to during the half term.
