Reception have been learning about ‘Journeys’ as part of Science Week. This encompasses all types of journeys including travelling liquids and the journey of messages around our bodies from our brains.
We played “Brain Hats” and tried to remember the 10 items that were shown before they were hidden. We wrote as many items down in a list as we could remember.
Today we learned about how quickly different liquids travel down a ramp e.g. washing up liquid, paint and water. Dylan suggested we kept the experiment going by seeing if the paint would completely travel down or if there would be some residue left on the ramp. Ethan checked on the ramp every 5 minutes (we used a computer timer!) and took photographs to see the changes.
