Due to government advice surrounding the coronavirus, our upcoming ‘Special Women Stay and Play’ on Thursday 19th March 2020 at 1:30pm is cancelled and will be rearranged at a later date.
Our Spring Sing concert on 1st April 2020 will also be postponed until further notice.
Thank you
A massive thank you to all parents and carers who came to support the development of their child’s early reading and writing. As always, it is really heartwarming to see so many faces in our sessions and it makes the preparation work really worth it! We love knowing that the teamwork between us has helped our children to achieve their goals and really be the very best that they can be. Our turnout is always amazing!
We also understand that we have many working parents who are unable to make the workshops – I am happy to email you the presentation or go through it with you at a convenient time for both of us if you would like additional support.
Workshops will always take place (where possible) at 8:45am and 5pm to enable you to attend either of the sessions.
Parents have requested that we hold the Read Write Inc Phonics workshop again, especially now as we are moving into the harder phase of phonics- writing with the sounds we know! Please watch out for a date for this session in the summer term after the Easter break.
At the workshops, many of you completed a feedback form. It was pleasing to see that your confidence in supporting your child with reading and writing moved from a 1/4 to a 4/4 for some of you! No question is a silly question and we are here to help both you and your child so please ask away!
Kind regards,
Mrs Toms
We have been busy growers! We planted our beans in cotton wool inside a sandwich bag and watered them. We placed them on the window in the sunlight and watched them shoot and grow roots!
Now they are getting taller and we are starting to transfer them into plant pots with nourishing compost.
We are looking after our planting area by not touching the plants or knocking the pots over. Please help us with this as you enter and exit the Reception garden on entry to school.
Thank you!
