Hello all,
Firstly, we hope you all have had a lovely Christmas and would like to wish you a happy new year. It’s great to be back and year 1 are ready to learn.
We started of the year with a big exciting mystery to solve! In our year one garden we found some eggs! They were all different and we had no idea where they came from, or more importantly who they belong to! Year 1 are still solving this mystery and taking care of them for now!
Year 1 have been busy creating their very own toy museum in our school! They created invitations to send to Willow 1 and 2 to invite them and even wrote information cards about the different toys!
Well done Year 1 a successful toy museum!
Year 1 had a fantastic day at The toy museum on Wednesday. We saw lots of old toys and new toys. The children particularly enjoyed the rocking horse and puppet show theatre. Here are some photos below…
On Monday afternoon, the children had a little chit chat with Mrs.Warnes who told us abut all the toys she used to play with when she was younger. We spoke about how our toys are now made out of plastic but her toys were usually made with wood and the fact that she didn’t have a doll to play with. Mrs Warnes. also said her favourite toy was the skipping rope and in-fact her grandaughter has been given the skipping rope she use to play with.
Thank you for coming in Mrs.Warnes we learnt a lot from you!
