The ‘i’ Sound
This week we have been learning the ‘i’ sound and words that begin with the ‘i’ sound.
Below you will be able to see one of our children modelling how to say the sound correctly and the phrase for writing the sound. Just in case you can’t hear him, he is saying “Down the body and a dot for his head”.
Ask your child if they can show you anything beginning with the ‘i’ sound at home and if they can write the ‘i’ sound.

Ask your child if they can show you anything beginning with the ‘p’ sound at home and if they can write the ‘p’ sound.
The ‘t’ Sound

Below you will be able to see one of our children modelling how to say the sound correctly and the phrase for writing the sound. Just in case you can’t hear her, she is saying “Down the Tower, across the Tower”.
Ask your child if they can show you anything beginning with the ‘t’ sound at home and if they can write the ‘t’ sound.
The ‘d’ Sound
This week we learnt the ‘d’ sound and words that begin with the ‘d’ sound
Below you will be able to see one of our children modelling how to say the sound correctly and the phrase for writing the sound. Just in case you can’t hear him, he is saying “Round the Dinosaurs bottom, up his tall neck and down to his feet”.
Ask your child if they can show you anything beginning with the ‘d’ sound at home and if they can write the ‘d’ sound.

We are learning Phonics! Here is the ‘M’ sound.
This week we have been introduced to our first phonic sound! Below you will be able to see one of our children modelling how to say the sound correctly and the phrase for writing the sound. Just in case you can’t hear her, she is saying “Maisy mountain, mountain”.
Ask your child if they can show you anything beginning with the ‘m’ sound at home and if they can write the ‘m’ sound.

Jeans for Genes day
Just a reminder that tomorrow is ‘Jeans for Genes day’. Therefore your children are allowed to wear jeans and non-school uniform for a small donation. This donation will go to the charity. We will collect the donation in the classroom.
