Wow!
What fabulous children we have in Year 1! We are already having so much fun and learning so much!
Here are a few snaps of our learning environments and fabulous homework that has been brought in by our creative children.
Look at these delicious plates of food!
These look good enough to eat!
The children have worked very hard!
A cosy place to read and chat!
A quiet garden for eager readers!
A space for builders to be busy at work!
Please check back for more photos and regular updates.
P.S- keep your eyes peeled for some fabulous and strange Picasso artwork created by our mini Picassos!
Year 1 have settled in well to their lovely classes and have been working hard doing some lovely activities!
Food is a really good topic for discussion for this age, especially where different foods come from and whether they are natural or processed and as most children (mine anyway) struggle with trying any new tastes it was great for my daughter to be able to partake in a challenging activity whilst in a supportive environment amongst her peers. She loved the experience, although sadly not all the food, so back to the recipe book for me!
Hi Elina!
Thank you for your kind words! Involving children in the cooking process is always fantastic; from shopping to preparing, cooking and best of all…eating!
If your daughter works well with peers then perhaps a cooking play date would be great (if you can stand the mess!)
