Tesco Trip

Yesterday Beech and Elder were lucky enough to go to Tesco Roneo Corner for a special store tour. They were shown around by a lady named Lesley, who set challenges for children to find fruits and vegetables that would show all of the colours in the rainbow. The children also began to read the labels to find out where the produce had came from. We met Mo at the fish counter who told the children all about where fish come from and different types of fish that they sell. Then we went to the bakery where we tasted bread and pancakes, Elder were lucky enough to see the bread being made!

We went into the freezer which was very cold, then into the warehouse for their delivery and finally into the security room where we were able to see ourselves on the cameras. A final taster of cheese and grapes ended our fabulous trip. The children were extremely well behaved and a Community Support Police Officer commented on theĀ children’s exceptional manners.

Many thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers, we wouldn’t have been able to run this trip without you!
